Organizing and the Feng Shui of Downsizing

When I moved to Atlanta, I lost 100 square feet of apartment space, and gained three dogs. It will be a year next week, and this place still looks like I just moved in and haven’t figured out where to put everything. Mainly because I don’t know where to put everything.

How do I cope?

I’ve spent the past year ignoring the clutter. It’s easy when you’re as busy as I am, moving and starting a new job. I teach four sections of Anthropology at the local college each semester, along with mentoring 32 new Freshpeeps, supervising four interns, writing a book chapter and working on a research project.

It’s summer now, and I’m only teaching one section in a month-long session from late June to late July. This seems like a good time to get this place looking better so I can actually relax and enjoy it more.

Your story is probably similar; maybe some of the facts are different. I’m going to post my adventures in organizing and Feng Shui around all my books and my three dogs and their stuff.  Stay tuned!

About Wild Rose

I’m known as Wild Rose, and I was diagnosed with breast cancer on January 8, 2008. I had no insurance, and my income, which wasn’t large anyway, had just been cut by 2/3. This is my story, my thoughts, and the ideas that I dream up or find elsewhere. I hope that other patients and survivors find solace here.
